During application of the coating on metal substrate impurities like air, dust or sand may get entrap inside coating. These impurities will gradually get released over a period of time from the coating of the surface causing a defect called Pin Hole Defect.
This defect might lead to Pre-mature corrosion of the metal substrate. It is therefore essential to test the non-conductive coating for these pinholes. Wet Sponge is the most widely used technique for Low Voltage Pin Hole Detector India for coating thickness less than 500 Microns. A nominal voltage of 9, 67.5, or 90V is applied to damp Sponge brush. This sponge brush is then moved over the coated surface. If the coating has any flaw it will be precisely detected, as the liquid will penetrate inside through flaw to come in contact with the bare metallic surface substrate, which will form a complete circuit to give Visual and Audible alarm signals.
Low Voltage Pin Hole Detector can be used by Powder coating, Other Coating and Painting industries.
