Coating process of metal substrates is an imperative process. Coating defects like Over Coating, Under Coating, Cratering, Cissing, Pin Holes, Runs and Sags etc. may occur during coating processes which may finally lead to premature corrosion of coated metal substrate. To inspect those defects coating inspection instruments like Holiday Detectors are used.
The term "Holiday” dates back to the Old days of the great wooden sailing ships. During the long slow voyages, ship maintenance was a must. A sailor would seal the mast of the ship with tar to prevent the wood from rotting. This was one of the most important duties of the mast sealer. If the sailor missed coating an area of the mast the wood would rot. It was then said that, the sailor must have taken a Holiday at that point thus not achieving a good coat of tar on the mast. Later as steel replaced wood, paint replaced tar. However, holidays live on. Holidays also known as pinholes void discontinuities.
Elecoat Holiday and Pin-Hole Detectors are on par in excellence to its direct competitors and import substitutes in terms of Quality, Serviceability and Precision.
Elecoat Holiday and Pin-Hole Detectors are completely designed, developed and manufactured “Here In Bharat”. Rather than Re-branding or Re-assembling them in disguise as of “Made In India” after importing from other countries.
Types of Coating Inspection Equipment:
- High Voltage Holiday Detector
- Low Voltage Pin Hole Detector
